Pop-tastic retro electronica meets trash psychedelia for ten tracks of reimagined wonderment!

Album of the year? Almost certainly. I mean, it should clean up!

This gloriously high-camp romp through perfectly skewed classic alt-pop songs, is witty, radical and fun. It’s everything cover-versions should be. Not reverential, but revolutionising.

Yet, amidst it all, there exists a genuine love for the source material.

This is effervescent brilliance, to be embraced by those seeking a new sound. Jump in, and get lost in another dimension. Or the inside of the hoover bag, if you prefer.

Because it’s danceable and delectable, this Hausfrau’s choice - and just what you want in your ears, as you dust off the old to pass as brand-spanking new!

Each song is glowing. Iridescent! Like bubbles…

Yes! That’s exactly what they are. Each song is akin to a bubble floating on a breeze!

They’re old songs, dating back 40 or 50 or 60 years all of a sudden! These versions were recorded a decade or two back. Yet they sound like they’ve just been born.

Or, rather, blown through a plastic ring by pursed lips, so they might refract the light, as they carry a kiss into the world!

And I think the world could use some of that right now - a few more bubbles boasting rainbow kisses.

This extraordinary album is perfect for this moment in time.

It’s poppy and psychy and analogue and electric-ky and melodic and harmonious and avant-garde and fuzzy and fun and serious and clever and accessible all at once!

It’s hard to draw comparison. People like comparisons… A bit Wet Leg. But only a bit. A touch of Flying Lizards, perhaps. No, maybe more ‘Art Of Noise’. Not a clue, to be honest.

And that’s precisely how music should be.
