Hausfrauen Experiment's New Album 'The End of the World' - Now in Stock
Hausfrauen Experiment Vinyl LPs

How do?

And so I present a serious contender for your Album Of The Year!

The finished vinyl is in the UK and Germany, and, as you can see, it looks as good as it sounds. Honestly, if I hadn’t had a load of Breville toasted cheese sandwiches this week, I could eat that!

UK orders will be shipped out by Andy P next week, with Europe following the week after when Till gets his act together! As for the USA? Nobody knows. So, if you’re in the UK, you could get your records in April. Which is early. And that has never happened before. Ever. In the entire history of records. Ever!

Massive thanks to all who have bought a copy. You are immense, and I am overwhelmed. Without you, this would not be possible. Thanks aplenty to Dominik at MusikGarage in Bensheim Germany, and the two Mikes at The Second 45 in Llanelli Wales. They are the only two record shops willing to stock it, as far as I can tell.

On a personal level, I’ve loved doing this again. From working with Alan on the music and art; with Till and Andy P on logistics and strategy; coordinating with the pressing plant people; getting reacquainted with the Hausfraus, as well as their partners, Peter and Paul.

It’s been a pleasure!

Ah, and then I watched the orders roll in, and recognised so many email addresses from 12-15 and more years ago! I lost all the contacts in 2012, when I switched from MS to Apple as I left FdM, and couldn’t retrieve them despite making efforts to.

Acknowledging orders, and catching up with people I’ve known for a long time… That’s been the best part of this. And working out a rate for supportive people in shops, or others requiring more than one copy. I love the energy and dynamism of it.

I shall never allow that to be lost.

I know how it goes, when you need distribution and things get ‘too big’. This is the best time, right now. Same with my books. I’m very heedful of that ‘be careful what you wish for’ adage. So, onwards we go. I also managed to write 3,000 words of my 16th novel this week. That does make me happily content.

And in the background, Till and I have been working with Tom Roche on an album, and I’ve been looking at 7” single pressing…

Pop over to www.morningbrake.com and sign up, I suggest. And grab a copy of Hausfrauen Experiment’s LP while you can. Because they will all be gone one day soon, and it’ll be too late. As I said, I’ve seen it all before.

Now, go and have a lovely weekend! That is an order!

Andy
